Aims offers two types of associate degrees in journalism:

Associate of Arts (A.A.)

If you plan to go on to earn a bachelor's degree in journalism, the A.A. in journalism option is for you. Thanks to a statewide agreement between community colleges and universities, your classes can transfer to participating public institutions. Get a head start on your four-year degree while paying community college tuition rates for the first two years. Aims offers one of the lowest tuition rates in Colorado.

Associate of Applied Science (A.A.S.)

If you intend to join the workforce after earning your associate degree, the A.A.S. in Journalism and Media Creation degree option is for you.

You'll gain foundational knowledge in journalism across multiple media and learn basic research, interviewing and reporting skills--all while paying one of the lowest tuition rates in Colorado.
